Current scale

  • A wire winds an optional number of windings between two static magnets at the base of the apparatus. The base can be rotated at marked angles. It is placed upon a sensitive scale (not included).
  • This device allows measurements of the magnitude of the force a magnetic field imposes upon a current carrying wire as dependent upon:
  • The length of the conducting wire.
  • The magnitude of the current
  •  And the angle between the direction of the magnetic field lines and the direction of the current.
